This year, the awards were presented in five categories:

●  Best Tour Operator of the Country,
●  Contribution to Tourism Development,
●  Debut of the Year,
●  Legend of Tourism (awarded for personal contributions to the industry).

Tourism in Uzbekistan is becoming increasingly accessible and plays a vital role in modern life. The country boasts 1,483 tour operators and travel agencies offering diverse travel experiences — from active sports and beach holidays to cultural, gastronomic, and ecotourism adventures.

Insurance plays a crucial role in safeguarding tourists against unexpected situations. GROSS Insurance Company, which provides 62% of all travel insurance policies in Uzbekistan, offers coverage in over 120 countries. Over the past five years, the company has paid more than $3.4 million for medical and emergency expenses.

The awards ceremony was first held in 2023 during the “Silk Road Tourism” exhibition. Annual GROSS Travel Awards highlights Uzbekistan’s commitment to creating comfortable and safe conditions for tourists, strengthening its position on the global tourism map.
